Dr Armenores specialises in a broad range of laser treatments. All patients have their treatments performed by Dr Armenores himself.
Vascular Lasers
These lasers are used to treat red lesion on the skin such as broken blood vessels (telangiectasias), rosacea and birth marks. No anaesthetic is typically required, and depending on what lesions are being treated, side effects such as bruising or swelling settle quickly. The number of sessions required varies and sessions are usually spaced at four to six week intervals.
In some cases, patients can claim a Medicare rebate.
Pigment Lasers
A number of harmless brown spots are suitable for treatment with these lasers, including freckles and sun spots. It is important that Dr Armenores first examines your skin to ensure that the lesions don't represent something more serious such as a skin cancer. No anaesthetic is typically required but some patients prefer a topical anaesthetic to be applied prior to treatment.
Ablative Lasers
A variety of both benign (e.g. warts, seborrhoeic keratoses, skin tags) and malignant (e.g. Bowens disease) skin lesions can be treated with these lasers. Some types of acne scars are also suitable. Topical or local anaesthetic is required. Most lumps and bumps can be treated in a single session.
These lasers are used to resurface the skin, especially for acne scars and signs of aging.
In some cases, patients can claim a Medicare rebate and some patients will be eligible to have their treatment covered by their private hospital insurance.
